JENNIFER GERARDI

I became a student leader in my second semester of undergrad, and continued to progress in my leadership up until my last semester. Since graduating in spring of 2013, I have continued my work in the field of education. Currently, I'm in the process of mastering the art of international education management at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey (MIIS).

My top values - as chosen from a list published by Brené Brown - are creativity, humor, and travel, and I hope to show you a little of each through my portfolio.

Here, I'm officially backed by the sunset at the westernmost point in continental Europe - Cabo da Roca, Portugal.

ABOUT

Three things you should know about me:

1. My hobbies include writing, going on walks around the neighborhood (to replace traveling, for now!), baking, and photographing the three f's: food, flowers, and felines.

2. My Clifton Strengths as of August 2019 are Empathy, Adaptability, Includer, Restorative, and Positivity.

When I took the same assessment seven years prior, I also had Empathy and Includer on my list.

3. I have been to Starbucks in 10 countries:

United States, Spain, Portugal, England, France, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, and most recently, Hong Kong. If you're wondering, Budapest had the best one - waffles with whipped cream, can it get any better?

That same Starbucks is where I accepted the offer to study at MIIS.

By the way, in the photo to the left, I'm helping to prepare cargols, or what we would call escargot. Not the biggest fan, but living in Lleida, Spain we ate a lot of snails.
